It’s winter and while that means ice in the rod guides for some, it certainly means fly tying here at the Old Au Sable Fly Shop.
We will be hosting open fly tying once a week at the dates and times listed. I’ll be doing proven, production patterns and folks are welcome to watch, ask questions, and learn. Or you are welcome to just come and hang out and tie whatever you’d like and just settle into the fly-tying atmosphere of our tying room at the Old Au Sable.
Unlike our classes, materials will not be provided, so bring your stuff. But I will have vises and tools for you to use and small, material kits available for purchase if needed.
You don’t have to be on time and you don’t have to stay for the entirety. We’re just going to relax and make some bait.
Here’s the schedule:
January 11, 17, 24, 31 from 4:30 to 6:30
February 13, 20, 27 from 4:30 to 6:30
And maybe some in March . . .
It’ll be fun and maybe we’ll even have some snacks! I love snacks.
